The Fitzrovia

The Fitzrovia is an 86,000 sq ft mixed-use development next to Tottenham Court Road Station, comprising Grade A offices, retail, and residential accommodation. Designed by Stiff + Trevillion, the celadon-clad building prioritises well-being and sustainability, with flexible, light-filled spaces and a communal roof terrace, and its targeting BREEAM Outstanding.

I worked on the project as a Design Manager Assistant, sitting neatly between architecture and management. My role involved coordinating multidisciplinary teams, leading design meetings, expediting drawing packages, and contributing to BREEAM & WELL documentation, all while keeping design intent intact and the programme moving.

This project taught me how architecture actually gets built: through clear communication, practical problem-solving, and the occasional compromise between perfect detail and what can be built on site .
